I mean, it’s already not that common for a plant to actually happen, and I definitely feel like 50 seconds is way too long to defuse. Should be something like 35-40 seconds in my opinion.
Is the time to defuse the C4 in Execution too long?
In order to make the gamemode overall more fast phased, I think as some people around have suggested the round time itself should be lower than 2 minutes.
I have no yay or nay for making C4 fuse shorter. Should be tested, and I think minlvl10 servers would be best place to start with since they have at least some amount of thought around when playing there.
It’s a very fast game overall, and if it boils down to defusing, which it more often than not does not actually boil down to the defuse, then chances are the round is decided.
^ pretty much this. So rarely comes down to a defuse where character class is relevant. Plus that small element of “is it gonna make it” on those occasions makes for enjoyable nail-biting.
Learn to defense. It need to be possible for the opposing team to run from across the other side of the map, have a firefight while outnumbered, and then defuse.
@Dawnrazor It doesn’t take 50 seconds to defuse, do you mean 50 seconds to explode? Either way I think it’s fine.

Yeah I think there is far too much time for defenders to kill the attackers and then defuse. Stalling for enough time for the C4 to go off before everyone dies almost never happens.
In most of my execution games the planters win after they plant about 75% of the time unless the enemies still have remaining engies alive.
In other FPS games, most of them are 45 ~~ 60s to defuse, it’s ok.
