Just had a nasty ranked match…one person was afk the whole 5 minute first round where we got ROFLPWN steamrolled and we couldn’t seem to kick them…just wanted to get it over with since I knew we couldn’t win.
Why wouldn’t it let me vote to surrender? Is surrender only allowed in special circumstances?
If you have called a vote pause to see if the afk comes back or called a vote kick on him, you can’t call another vote for some time including vote surrender.

@Sorotia I’ve surrendered a couple of times, and I don’t think there was a restriction as it had always worked. But i havent played ranked after the dockyard update, so maybe they changed something idk
While the option to vote for surrender confusingly is available from the start, it actually only works after 3 minutes in the round.

Which is stupid if it’s into the second round…basically just had to twiddle my thumbs for about a minute then…they blazed right past us with a lousy team comp, horrible sniper who was afk half the game, as just straight out lousy team where someone as blah as me came out on top scoring

Yes, pretty much. But then, if you start as attackers you should at least try for 3 minutes. If you start at defenders, you usually lose the 1st round quickly and the 2nd won’t last longer than the first. So in practice it doesn’t matter that much.
Consider it a good time to hon your knife only skills or teamkill and teabag that useless 3/27 kdr Vassili. B)

thats why you need to commit to the risk of having bad teammate when you press the ranked button. Free Rewards always has a catch.

Or,l… if you’re REALLY sick of your scrub teammates, just join the enemy team. Can’t? It’s , Ranked? Well m’boy, there’s a thing called “friendly fire”.
@Sorotia Surrenders are only available after three minutes of each round. If you don’t want to wait that long, maybe try calling a Restart Map vote, and see if anyone can pick up their slack.
