So one of my friends taught me to change my command console, before I do this I want to know if this is legal or not. So when you go to Steam, then SteamApps, then Common, then Dirtybomb, then engine. You see all of the command files there. I want to change my Bmousesetting from True to false. This removes mouse acceleration completely, Im wondering If I would still be able to play in tournaments if I were to do that.
Is the legal? (Config file edits)
Yeah, it’s allowed.
You can cap your framerate as well if you so desire.
You will definitely not get banned for that.
Tweaked your thread title a bit to remove the click-bait.
As an added note, if at any point you change a configuration file in such a way that Splash Damage doesn’t want you to do it, the game uses a default config file instead of your custom one.
@rhythmGecko If you enjoy doing config edits, you might like this http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/30357/guide-customizing-most-in-game-text
It’s located in the ShooterEngine file.
Hit CTRL + F and search for “bSmoothFrameRate” (without the quotation marks).
Now change the FALSE to TRUE and edit the values.
By the way, I read that the MinSmoothedFrameRate should always be at 30.
Thank you guys so much
Now that i found out it was legal my gameplay skill doubled, really appreciate the help guys.
@Kirays do you know why MinSmoothed should be kept at 30? I’ve always set max and min the same.
Google says when that option is activated the game tries to avoid sudden changes in your FPS count.
That means you might end up having lower FPS with it enabled but at the same time it’s more consistent.
honestly if mouse acceleration and whats been send here isnt an option to change in game thats odd but kinda forces you on an even playing field in a way
