We’re trying to put together a team to compete in cups but it usually takes over 1 hour and a half of searching (in Europe and with all maps) to get a ranked match. I understand why the solo and duo queues have been separated from 5-man groups, but there is simply not enough players for it to work this way.
We want to play this game competitively, but waiting 90 minutes in the hope to find a game is just too long.
There’s no way to practice playing as a team apart from getting a scrim here and there with some people we know.
The last proving grounds cup which was going to happen in April was cancelled, and nothing since. It just feels like this is only going downhill from here.
Does the competitive side of dirty bomb have a future or is it just slowly becoming pub only?
Is the competitive side of Dirty Bomb dieing?
The competitive side was never really alive, but they still have dates as to when cups are happening.

I remember back in December I could get a rank match in 10 -15 minutes, playing several in a row. Now you’re lucky if you even get 1 let alone 2.
It’s difficult for a new team to prepare for cups if you can’t play ranked games.
We’re giving it a last chance today, but we might just play dirty bomb from time to time casually on publics if that’s all there is to it. Quite a shame really considering the potential.
Look for scrims. No one plays ranked, and ranked is a joke if you want actual competitive anyway.
DB’s comp scene has seen better days, but hopefully we’ll see it grow.
