The only thing wrong with the Grandeur is the sights, beyond that, it’s actually really good.

Control your taps when firing from the hip, don’t spam it, just take your time with your shots and you’ll wreck people.

He has a high learning curve and his gun needs some tweaking but other than that go ahead if you are ready to practice a lot

No. poor damage output for redeye is what makes him a bad merc, his abilities dont make up for it… he is slow, offers no ammo or health support, and no quick eng abilities. His smoke is not dense enough nor last long enough, and blocks your teams ability to engage almost as much as the enemies. He is definitely not a high skill cap merc, becuase you run into his ceiling very quickly due to his bad DPS output. High skill players will be even more effective with most of the other mercs, even if they are good with redeye.

  1. Low DPS means you need to be skilled to do well as Redeye.
  2. Redeye doesn’t offer ammo or health support because that’s not what he’s meant for. List one Recon merc that gives health support? You can’t? That’s because it’s a medic’s job.
  3. Don’t make me laugh, Redeye won’t block your team’s ability to engage if you’re not a fcking idiot. It’s called team communication, fcking X key by default. IR spotting abilities also reduce your so called “blockage”.
  4. Vasilli is OP? You must be new here welcome to Dirty Bomb, where you have to be real sh*t to not be able to deal with a Vas. The problem isn’t Vas, you legitimately need to learn to deal with a sniper.
  5. It’s quite simple to play Redeye, throw smoke, communicate with your team, spot enemies, 2HKO rifle them to the ground, smoke clears, run for cover, repeat.

How do you expect people to take you seriously if you suck at Redeye so hard that you throw smoke where it hinders your own team?

To be honest after buying him right before this free merc rotation and he’s probably the best marksman i’ve played (well he’s the only marksman i’ve played but still). I think the pdp’s the best way or at least on of the best ways to go with Red eye because first of all it’s the only scoped semi auto he has and second of all just stat wise it’s a goos sniper. And you should take you’re time with 80% of you’re shots and just because it’s a semi auto doesn’t mean you have to spam it when you take you’re shots and hit themandtime some of them it’s just awesome. Also don’t always trust thr smoke to cover you. And aggressive sniping is awesome and i do that 70% of the time and i recommend it.

I absolutely love him, but I have to admit he isn’t the best merc to use. But he suits my style well and is a BAMF. You gotta keep that medium to far range when using him

disagree; redeye can be very potent when holding angles at point blank range. It is close enough that his gun basically acts like a shotgun, with 80hp headshots.
