Is Fragger an American?

(DuDuBrown) #1

If I remember, Fragger is an American. If so, when he is readying a nade toss, why does he count with his fingers an a European? He starts with his thumb, but in the US, we start counting with our index finger. Shame on you Brits for forking that up. I know it is developed mostly, or all by Brits, but come on, attention to detail. We wouldn’t portray a Brit of ‘giving the finger’ by only using the middle finger, we would do the index and middle finger…

@ravenousPlate We dont really know if he is America. he Looks like.

As an European I too start with my index finger. Then again, he is supposedly living in London for a long time.

I never thought there was other ways to count with your fingers. Why would you start with your index finger anyway? It’s not first finger from either side of the hand

This website shows Fragger as being an America/Canadian. The same applies here…start counting with index finger. I can’t believe that the programmers failed in this detail when they go so many other details spot on.

I guess it depends on which side of the pond you are from. I prefer the European way, other than their currency. But being in the US, we are taught certain things as in all counties. Can’t we all just get a long. I think it would be a funny recording of a map to have the attacking team progress through the map with the defenders spectating, no one shooting…mostly just standing around…maybe drinking a cup of coffee or tea if in the UK.

Maybe it’s not a failure in detail. Some people can or want to get accustomed to other country’s cultures.

Well then again my order is thumb, index, middle, pinky, and then ring finger. I can’t lift my ring finger without the pinky finger

(xRotting) #9

Too many questions out there. Why inch and not cm? why feet and not meter? why drive on the left side? it’s a Brit thing. :hushed:

(TheStrangerous) #10

WOW, guess I really am European. I count from my left thumb…

The more I learn everyday…

(JRMC) #11

I do start with my index but that’s on my right hand. That’s how we did as kids. It was simpler, I guess. Although on my left I always start with my thumb. Then again, on my right, I switch back and forth, though the index is always prominent.

His mamma lives in Vermont.

(DuDuBrown) #13

I guess my point is this…if we portrayed a scene in the US having cars driving on the left side, it would be wrong. Having been in Europe on a number of occasions, I never and other that I know have not altered something that is instilled into their life such as counting methods. It was just something I noticed and got a chuckle out of it. I just wanted to share the smile.

(Eox) #14

He’s either american or canadian.

Driving on either side is not instilled in oneself. It’s the rules. However you use your fingers to count isn’t a rule. Like I said, it can be changed by one’s adaptation to another’s culture. Simple as that.

Fragger is as American as it gets. Big a$s guns, likes to explodes thing, and is a bit bigger than your average merc. USA USA USA

(Gi.Am) #17

And he likes to attend doll picknicks.

(DuDuBrown) #18

He never said he LIKES attending doll picnics, he says doll picnics hurt more…and if you ever attended a doll picnic, you know he is right. Nothing is more painful that that, other than listening to your wife talk about her job. ZZZZzzzz

(blufflord) #19

this is so fking wierd. i always assumed everyone started from the thumb cause its the first digit - just makes sense for me

(Jesus) #20

If you are bothered by that what should I say as a french when I hear Aimée says “Enchantée” for thanks
