Is EV the lag switcher?

Not sure if it only happens to me.
Sometimes, when I jump from above or quickly crouch and immediately start repairing EV, I slide away long distance.
This has never occurred in the past, until recently, even with huge ping. Other times it can happen, when I’m in front of the moving EV.

Yes I have that problem too if I try to move while repairing it moves me to someplace away from the EV so fast. It’s especially annoying while you’re trying to do the first objective on bridge.

I’ve had that happen to me too. It’s actually helped me slide away from enemies before, lol. I feel like a ninja

Yup… it happens to me sometimes also… its like it bounces you away… damn annoying :confused:

Happened to me last night when repairing EV at the start of a match on Bridge. <20 ping. Didn’t feel particularly laggy, more like the EV was tossing me forwards - Tracer teleport rather than latency if that makes sense. Curious what it looked like from the defending team’s perspective, definitely caught a couple players off guard.

The EV has been buggy for a while. Walk into the corner at the moment with any kind of high ping and you’ll just become glued to it.

I’ve met a lot of players playing engie and while their repairing the EV they kept saying in chat that there’s like a huge lag spike each time.

I notice that at high ping that I warp around objects with collision such as other players and the EV. The ping has to be sufficiently high enough though, say 250ms. Otherwise, the EV is just a glitchy mess with awful collision detection.
