Yeah, he succeeded there, hence the “gratz” I gave him
Is Brink really a budget title at full price?
I think I’ve dumped about 7 weeks straight of gameplay into BC2 just on the multiplayer. And brink looks to be eons better.
with only 8 story levels which can be finished in 5 -10 min’s each (I don’t count playing the same level wearing a different hat as a new levels ‘resistance/security’) so the game can be finished a less than 2 hours.
No single-player - you can’t suddenly count bot’s as a single player game - they never have been before so why with Brink? Do you call the Bot feature in BO’s multi-player single player?
Budget tiles like Monday night combat or Section 8 have more content than Brink so why is being released at full price not $10 or 1200 MSP?
Wow, tardville.
And once again I need to bump this thread to remind everyone not to respond again. Please don’t make me do this because this way the thread keeps up.
Shadowrun had no MP and that game was amazing , you get what you pay for and thats a proper MP game , would you rather shell out £40 for a game with a 6 hour sp and a badly ported MP which the community will die on after 2 weeks? , i dont get what people want these days , if you want a epic sp get a Fallout game or bioshock or something , if you want a Well thought out MP Buy brink, i dont recall any game with a amazing sp and an amazing mp.
I am not expecting anything, just asking people if they have noticed that Brink has the same/less game content than a lot of budget action games that have been released over the past 12 months but still wants to charge full price?
i think this will be a great game, no matter the length of the campaign. to me, the mp experience is much more important, cause it gives me motivation to play on. i would never buy a campaign only game, except of titles like fallout or dragon age.
You aren’t gonna finish the campaign it 2 frickin’ hours. I don’t understand why you would think that you can complete 1 mission in 5 minutes. That’s just not gonna happen…
You’ll get atleast 5 hours from the total campaign for both sides (which is very different, because it’s about attacking and defending, not just the same match two times).
And obviously it is a lot more replayable since the game is highly dynamic and you can play it with different ways.
Every other game today is a linear, scripted mess that you play once and are done with.
And why does the singleplayer even matter? Are you going to say that games that have literally no singleplayer at all are worthless, because they have 0 hours of content with them? Even though in reality they have hundreds?
in a way you could say thats true but at the same time you could say they dont have a budget of the liks of treyarch etc yet they still find more time to connect with there fans and take the time and effort to do stuff like Balance there games and random little things like that , Quantity does not equall quality btw ;~)
All you people arguing with him, look at his original post. Do you really think hes willing to read or consider logical responses?
im not arguein im having a discusion , everyones entitled to there opinion no matter how obsured and retarded it is.
Its probably not even his opinion. He’s making up numbers, and completely ignoring the facts given to him. Hes trolling. The fact that he found his way here instead of the Bethesda forums means he cant have his head that far up his ass. Hes looking to find the diehard fans.
You, Sir, are a gob****e. Just because SP and MP are not kept separate doesn’t mean that there’s no content in the game.

Splash Damage has been saying this is a new intermingling of single-player/multi-player - bots and a cut scene. As they say this is a single player game then I am only looking at it that way and saying that 1 - 2 hours content does not make a full price single-player game. Do you see?
Maybe if the game had come out over a year a year ago (original release date) this would not have been so noticeable, but with the increase in budget game quality and content you would not have raised an eyebrow if this game content was released at a budget price.
you figure you can play through the entire campaign in an hour or two ?
you’re an idiot
I would love not to feed the troll, but i have too… Sorry about the following sentence(s)
Do you not get the meaning of replay value? It is pretty simple to understand, all you have to do is think for a little bit and then you will see that there are TONS of options to change, different ways to play, change around your abilities for a new strategy every time.
