Personally I don’t mind much if there’s no single player… I mean, I beat RTCW single player in 5 days and after that I never played it again. But multiplayer you can play over and over… I dunno why any person working on a volunteer basis would spend craploads of time developing a single person campaign which has limited play value. Even if there was someone who believed it was really worth making, that’s just a huge commitment to follow through on.

Instead, I think the closest we’ll get with ET is [RW]'s bobots… Not the kind of experience you get with an SP campaign, but still pretty cool… In the near future I’ll be moving to a place where the best net connection I can get is 56k so Bobots are my only hope for playing ET

Still playable on 56k with the right tweaks you know - my mate plays on 45.2k merrily on max 16 player servers!

And Id play a SP no problem if someone made it!

I like to play the sp maps just to see what the mappers have created and for short fun, I buy games only if they have a good multiplayer though - after all there are not many sp-mappers and those who are do it for the creative process and have fun with it, you never get as known as with MP-maps… if you want to play some good sp-maps get rtcw and play the custom rtcw-sp’s, I don’t need any for ET

There are a few SP mods in development, I don’t know if they’re going to finish though…

I’m hoping for the degeneration mod of the tram-design folks, the screenies look great and judging from the people there it should be good to play as well

I think Degeneration is a mod for RTCW.

yeh it is, damn I thought bacon wrote that there were few rtcw-mods in development (which wouldn’t fit into the thread anyway) - damn should go to bed, just ignore me
