Invisible walls on EV turret seats

(ProfPlump) #1

Often when you try to shoot people who are in the turret seat of the EV, your bullets are blocked by invisible walls. This mostly happens when the person in the turret is turned 90 degrees away from you (for some reason) but CAN happen from all angles. It’s one of the most frustrating things when you line up perfectly on their head and your shots completely fail to deal any damage, and then they just fill you full of .50 cal machine gun bullets (and, yes, I KNOW I’m aiming properly because I’ve watched each incident back on Shadowplay and confirmed that the shots SHOULD have been perfect headshots).

Inconsistencies should not exist in a competitive game, especially inconsistencies that are so central to the objective of that game (escorting the EV).

Please fix this, Splash Damage.

I’ve also noticed this, he’s not the only one.

didnt notice anything. but could be because im using a sniper.

Funnily enough those invis walls don’t stop naders grenades because they blow up on impac, the damage bypasses the wall it seems

The only thing I noticed is that the turret user is protected by a metal cage from sides and back. And that one is pretty visible.

He’s quite right @Jostabeere.

I get this a lot with Arty. I see a Proxy sitting inside the turret when I am side on towards them and even though her head is in clear sight the burst does 0 damage.

There is some kind of invisible wall on the side.

I never denied that. I just said that I only noticed the visible cage thing blocking off shots.
