Just cropped up today is a prob with invisible players. Obviously everyone cries hack, but I have a feeling it’s a player that was just in the server and reconnects to another, but is still echoing in his/her previous server instance. I can only assume though, but if it is Im willing to bet it might be a player using the steam auto-join feature and joining another server waiting for it to pop. When it pops they flip severs, but for some reason they stay in the current one invisible.
Or some players just simply glitch out. They dont show up in the scoreboard or when using the server info cvar on my server (which briliantly only shows the first letter of anyones name, please fix that to show full names SD!)
Thats and assumption though. The other theory is it’s a hack of some sort. The only problem I have with the explanation above is that if they are in another server and echoing, there is no guarentee the other server is running the same map, and in both instances ive witnessed this, they are clearly playing on the same map ie. not running thru walls. They are following the same pathing. Also, they can kill, and be killed.
So bug, or hack. Who knows. Either way, SD needs to know about it.
