I can’t join any server, because it shows me that some Invalid GUID or smth. I have tried /pb_cdkeyreg, but still not helping. Could anyone help me out with this?

Hmm, don’t know for sure, but did you already try to manually update your punkbuster?

yeh im also getting that crap and also my friend but he was able to fix it somehow
GO to http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
1.download the appropriate file
2.open the zipped file
3.It will tell you to let it check for updates once done
4.you have to add ALL games that use punkbuster so it can update it once done exit and restart your pc.
(dont use files right after your updated them ) RESTART your pc
IM NOT MAKING YOU PROMISES THAT IT WILL WORK BUT thats how my friend was able to make it work but not for me

ow and the \pb_cdkeyreg
option isnt for it …the only thing it will do is renew your ET KEY and if that dont work
go to your wolfenstien-enemy territory which usually you find it going through
MY COMPUTER > THE HARD DRIVE YOU USE > PROGRAM FILES > WOLFENSTEIN-ENEMY TERRITORY > ETMAIN
AND YOUR E.TKEY SHOULD BE IN THERE WITH THE REST OF THOSE FILES

I have the same problems (on servers WITHOUT PB), tried all above with no effect.
On PB servers I keep getting “Empty CD key” messages.
Ideas?

Hi guys,
Alex you wrote that, if there was etkey present we should reply.
But unfortunetly there isn’t a etkey file in my etmain map.
strange thing is, yesterday i could play in all servers. Then i decided to reinstall Enemy Territory due to strange behaviour. So i uninstalled ET and removed ALL the files and then installed it again. Now i got that Invalid GUID message, because the etkey file is missing. I tried to reinstall Enemy Territory several times. But the file keeps missing. What should i do?

P.S. I tried all what was written above(updated pb manually, entered the command pb_cdregkey in console) but none helped. Thanks in advance

well anyways right now using pb commands on your console wont work at all so just forgot about those things
ok third if you havnt tried updateing your E.T
go to your E.T file
MY COMPUTER>THE HARD DRIVE YOU USE>PROGRAM FILES> LIKE ALWAYS WOLFENSTEIN should be there now
1.right click on the file
2.properties
3.General
4.uncheck ReadOnly
5.press apply
6.when you press apply or OK its going to ask you to apply to all subfolders click yes
ALSO if you dont have an E.T key
I havnt tried this yet but they said to MAKE ONE but i dont know if it would work or i dont know how to make one but im just guessing you just get a copy of the etkey from your friends E.T and drag and drop it under etmain file
i thought well it does sound pretty obvious but i dont know if it will accept that etkey since its not originally the one your installed wolfenstein with but idk maybe it will work havnt tried it yet
and also as you all see this is not only happening to us but also happening to ALOTTT of people who decide to uninstall and reinstall E.T
Probably more likely all of a sudden there might be a problem with E.T installations and maybe (Im Not sure) but most likely since its not only happening to some people but alot they MUST be looking into it
so for right now im just lay back and see what happens
and dont try System recoverying your PC cuz theres nothing wrong with your PC and even if you do and then try to reinstall E.T it wont work and well your just gonna be loseing alot of your files

By the way thanks for the tip to not System recover my PC ;), I was planning to do so. While i knew that in fact there is nothing wrong with my PC either

Oh and Alex about the problems with the E.T installations, what you are saying might be correct. Maybe there is something wrong with punkbuster. From what i know is that the etkey file gets created the very first time you login to a server. And as you said that it’s all of a sudden, I think it has to do with something that went wrong with punkbuster? maybe the system crashed, so it stopped providing etkey’s? or something like that. I am not sure either.

That’s what I thought. Yesterday, PB’s site (http://www.evenbalance.com) was down. Altough it’s up, there might be some errors.
If someone upload a working etkey file, and give us the link, we would be very grateful.

Hmm are u sure u dident use hack or cheats and now you cant join coz i were testing some adawolfa hacks in hope im going to find a way to dissable it on my server :S fail and ****** my ET so i got same problem :S

But i have got same problem on other 2 comps that i had been playing on them a while ago so the hack isent the problem. I dont got etkey in etmain map …
