What does it mean when it says instant by the spawn timer??? I just noticed it poped up randomly last night diring a match

And why is demorecspectator stalking me lol j.k.

It means you respawn instantly during that time. For example, if you were already dead and spectating, then the timer says instant, then you will respawn at that time instead of the usual respawn time.

Instant usually lasts for like 5 seconds and afaik happens after a main objective is completed so defenders can defend more easily and attackers can respawn and push at the same time, I think.

Note sure but i think the demorecspectator is part of the telemetry system.

As @BooryDarthNader said, the instant respawn lasts for 5 seconds once a primary objective is completed to allow defenders to instantly respawn during that time. I don’t think it is available for attackers.

It means you are on the defending team and the attackers just did a thing YOU WERE PAYED TO PREVENT THEM FROM DOING a.k.a. completing an objective. Defenders get a 5 second grace period to instantly hop back in to stop attackers’ momentum, preventing a snowball of objective completion.

This was added ages ago, in the Ranked S4 Update.

I personally am not a fan of the mechanic. If the enemy completes an objective with 15+ seconds til spawn, I can drop 2-3 of them, tap out and help my team deal with any who have pushed up, potentially getting longspawns on the next wave.
