It would be nice if you did tricks, etc when you inspected your weapon, eg: flipping your knife around (like a butterfly knife) or spinning your pistol around your finger. Little things like this are what i really enjoy in a game sometimes. What are your thoughts on this?
Inspecting weapon
definitely a cool feature but honestly I hardly get enough time to fully inspect my weapon as is.
The animations are definitely not quite as fancy as CS:GO’s. I wouldn’t mind seeing some snazzy animations for at least the merc abilities as those are still being worked on.

Be nice, prefer they spend their time on other things like fixing bugs, class balance, replacing that @Q#$$%ING pineapple juggler…
I read there is a seperate team for the animations so the development speed of the actual game wouldn’t be decreased.
It’s again one of those things that shouldn’t be high on the priority list. But would be cool if it were somewhere on that list though
it would be cool if they added it once they fixed more of the problems at hand cough pineapple juggler cough
Yeah let’s make the animation people do that. The results will be great, I’m sure.

instead of throwing the grenades back, the character just starts juggling with them until they explode
@MTLMortis animators play absolutely no role in game design or balance. They simply create character animations to be implemented into the game.
Animation is a hugely time consuming and difficult to refine art, so more often than not (especially in a larger studio like SD), animations will have just that one job - animating. Getting upset because they were improving game visuals as opposed to gameplay features is a waste of time.
It takes a lot of attention to detail to animate properly. You need a good eye to simulate physics in a computer program.

Oh I’m not upset, I have no idea how large SD is overall as a game studio. I was assuming a smaller company with less people as compared to studios like Blizzard, etc. If that’s all they do then that’s all they do.
…still. That pineapple juggler has been around for a long, long, looooooong time with no relief in sight.
