Insane FPS Drops and weird game experience after 1-few games.

Hello, so far I am really enjoying this game like I did ET before for many years but there is one issue that makes it almost unplayable for me:

After playing few games, sometimes one sometimes 5 my fps drops from 90-200 to 50-60 but the screen feels like it’s working on sub 20, also mouse sensi is lower (around half) making aiming impossible. While alt-tabing the game my mouse sensi is also lowered in windows. It stops when I close the game and after rerunning it everything is fine for few games again.

Today I had a feeling like this bug “stacked”, was playing stopwatch and in 1st round was everything fine but in 2nd round it started to happen - because I had quest to do I just stayed whole 2nd round and after another 10min my game started to work even worse, experience was like 3-4fps, mouse snesi felt like 1 instead of 10, sadly this time fraps was off and didn’t saw fps counter.

I have tried to play with almost all processes closed, on lowest and highest game settings - nothing has changed.

Hardware:
i5-4690k (not OC)
Maximus VII Ranger
Kingston Fury 1866 2x4GB
Radeon R9 290 (reference - but temps are normal while playing dirty bomb)
Mouse: Roccat Kone+

OS: Windows 8.1

ALT+Tab sometimes makes same bug, just after entering game back fps drops and mouse sensi is weird.

I get FPS drops as well, especially when an airstrike comes in, its still in beta hopefully it gets fixed. My game even crashed earlier which was weird everything just froze, i had to open task manager to close the game. In other words you’re not alone man.

But in my case the drop is continous, when it occurs the fps never goes up, stays low (even when fraps shows 50-60 game is just running like 15-20) and mouse moves half speed even outside of the game.

Jay for you i can reccomend getting 15.5 drivers for R9 280, might help or at least 14.x - latest not beta.

Just testing now 15.X drivers (beta) but didn’t have time to play too much on them.

UPDATE: Same problem even on latest drivers. In 2nd half of stopwatch my frame dropped to unplayable level and mouse sensi was lower.

i do have the 15.5 drivers. This is the only game were my fps drops at unplayable levels, I just got through playing and it happened more often than usual at the most critical moments which led me to die because of it. i really hope they fix this :confused:

Almost a half of all players has this issue, even streamers with insane specs. But Devs are working to fix this.

Looks like memory leakage. Next time you play the game, see how much CPU power you’re using via task manager and then check it again when the game begins to lag.

Hopefully it isn’t a problem with your computer, but it sure is a possibility.

Also try the basics:

Restart your PC
Restart Steam and run it in Administrator

This problem is from day one of my Dirty Bomb gameplay, restarted pc, did many things, funny part is also that my cpu usage is fine, same goes to memory but I will take closer look next time.

From now on I am running diagnostic programs while playing game to determine if it’s pc related or game. But considering that I was playing much more graphic or cpu advanced games before without any problems I assume it’s game client problem.

UPDATE: Sound is getting lagged too while longer play on “bug”, and after trying end my SW game my Video driver went down and started working again, whole pc started responding terrible slowly, killing game proces witch took some time just and it made my pc work stable and fast instantly.

CPU usage was 50% on Dirty Bomb, total like 52%
Memory usage by Dirty Bomb was 2000MB

PC temperatures are normal.
To make things clear, I have build this pc almost year ago and this is only game I am encountering problems.

PS: Because of this bug I am unable to finish normaly any SW game. I can play few obj games then I have to rerun game to make it work properly again.

Known issue and that’s the reason why I am playing only on 6vs6 servers in objective mode. Stopwatch is lagging like hell in the 2nd round…
