I expect this and all other songs (like the great menu theme) are in the game. So you could extract them if the game hits the stores. Maybe we get an official Brink OST, would be great :slight_smile:

Have you considered that they might have used in-house recording to do it? It doesn’t even seem to be a very complex song. I couldn’t compose it, but given a week I could play every part in it (except the electronic parts. Which require about an hour with the software.)

Of course. That’s why I’m asking about it here. I hope someone knowledgeable about it will notice our interest and reply. There’s some great in-house music that goes to waste because whatever powers that be just didn’t include it’s distribution as part of the product concept. I site the “Shadow Complex” soundtrack as my prime example. Magnificent music, but not available anywhere. Furthermore, because distribution rights are so exclusive and so well guarded there is a very short window of opportunity for consumers to make their demand known. Before long the supplier is busy with something else and probably doesn’t care anymore.

Ironically I don’t hear anyone calling for the song’s release, which is what this thread’s all about. What gives? Am I alone here, or do you want the song too? That’s what I want to know from you.

That’s what I’m talking about! Unfortunately, without an official OST release (which may or may not include song in question. I still don’t even know if it’s an in-house thing or a license) Ripping the songs is the only option other than going without. I’m just sad (and angry sometimes) it’s considered theft or piracy to do so.

I’ve been following every Brink press release I could get my hands on for over a year (wow) now. Splash Damage has been great keeping us up to date with everything about the game and now I’m a fan of the game AND the studio. They’re so thorough in fact, I think if they haven’t talked about something, it’s because it’s not there. I haven’t heard anything about an OST release, let alone the Ready & Able trailer song.
