Note that snipers do get double, so someone did think about it, briefly, somewhere. 
For light weapons, it doesn’t matter much, with damage falloff and spread. I’d agree that things like AS and FFE should be longer, and #define > magic numbers any day.
It suddenly occurs to me that Serge might be referring to people thinking the FFE problem was a map bug in helmsdeep but not in assault…
I’ll reword what he said into (slightly (I’m tired)) better English for both is benefit (constructive criticism --> learning) and everyone else’s (easier to read); however, this is based on my interpretation (read: guess) of what he’s trying to say, deep down, and it may be completely off the wall.

Anyway, just thought it quite cool that we’d worked out what caused that MP Assault thing - I remember when it first came out there were so many wild theories, which as we now know, were all wrong
