Individual keybinds for different mercs?

(gg2ez) #1

So, I’ve recently picked up Fletcher, gotta say, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a while. I was fiddling around with the control settings to get more comfortable with Fletcher and I wanted to assign RMB to detonate Sticky Bombs, however, with RMB assigned to detonate Sticky Bombs I can no longer ironsight with guns and will have to reconfigure my settings when I go to play another merc.

Is there a way to configure the settings in a way that the “RMB detonate” will only work with Sticky Bombs out?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe some special codes in the console can allow you to do this, but as far as I know you can’t do that in-game. They should really add something like that in the game.

Thanks for answering. I agree, they should add in a controls config for different mercs and stuff, or atleast add presets. Ah well, not much of a priority now I guess.

I’m also waiting for this. This is the main reason I use BL33 because it has quick draw that helps with quick sticky throws and the detonator which I have bound to side mouse buttons. If I could, just for Fletcher, bind stickies instead of melee to the middle mouse button, I would use BL32.

Quick draw barely makes a difference though. I also realized you could bind iron sights to something else like e or something. Just something you can do if you really want mouse 2 for sticky bombs.

But that really not what I want to achieve. I just want RMB to detonate stickies when I’m holding the bombs or all 3 have been placed. I also don’t wanna switch between settings all the time when I play other mercs.

we’ve been asking for merc specific binds for… a while, there has never been a definitive answer, another “something maybe”

Depending on what mouse you have you could setup a separate profile and change the default setting of RMB to whatever that ability key is. Then use on the fly profile switching buttons to switch when you play Fletcher.

That’s what I’ve been doing currently. I’m using the profile keys on my keyboard to change my mouse settings, quite handy actually.

@gg2ez I understand that isn’t what you wanted to achieve. It was simply something you could do until SD decides to implement this.

I know.
