Indiana Jones: ET

http://www.hummerdesign.com/et/

I’m working on preplanning a campaign for ET based on the Indiana jones films. So far, I have a few drawings up, as well as some resources… screen grabs from the movie, some scans from some Egyptian books I checked out, etc.

This is where you come in. Hopefully, people will want to jump on the band wagon with this project. I doubt I’ll be able to do three maps on my own in short time.

So, anyone who is remotley interested in helping… texture artists, sounds people, modelers, resource gatherers… and especially level designers, stop by the site and make a post on the forums, or email me at hummer@hummerdesign.com.

I really think this will be a fun, cool, and popular campaign if we did it right.

Did I mention I’m blogging the entire process? I want people to see what we’re up to, and hopefully generate some interest in the project.

I think this could work really well. I know a guy who’s already started an Indiana Jones style map, I’m sure he’d be interested in working with someone else so I’ll let him know.

Run away mine carts - WOOHOO!

One of our original maps had a mine cart system. It could be done easily with the new scripting/entity system in ET.

Just wondered, (I’m quite a n00b at basic scripting, let alone this) but if I had a train/minecart whatever, something on tracks anyway. Could there be a junction, you throw a switch and say it was orginaly going to go straight ahead, but throwing the switch it now follows the track off the the right? Hope I made sense.

Yes you can. The scripting/entity system is flexible enough.
