Increase the time until the match starts

I’m getting a lot of games where the match starts before most players have even connected. Today I had a round where I could just run up to the rail track switch and plant as well as activate the barrier, uncontested, because the enemy team hadn’t even loaded yet.

There are just too many players that need more time to load the map, and there’s just too much damage that can be done to the game’s progression if the attacking team has fast loaders.

I would suggest bumping up the time it takes before the game is forced to start. Unfortunately, I also have a separate suggestion to increase the time to pick loadouts and mercs (especially in competitive), which would further increase downtime. Sad, but necessary in my opinion.

I’m always In there as one of the first people on my team I think people’s pc is slowng them down. I run an all sSD pc and my kids run a ssd/hdd systems with dirty bomb on the hdd and I’m in there 10-20 seconds give or take before them. our high end gaming pc are all with in 2 yrs of each other they are on same conection speeds and same modem as me

Oh yes, bad wording on my part, it’s definitely the PC itself that slows it down, not the connection.

the problem is the map-loading bug that started with the most recent patch.

Ideally though, map would load before lobby, with a warmup-time inbetween.

That bug only applies to matches that are already in progress as far as I’m aware, so I don’t think it’s due to that.

I can only applaud the idea of maps being preloaded during the lobby phase (as that would also allow people extra time to select mercs), but I fear that that’s less technically less easy to implement.
