Well, with barely any current advertising here are the numbers from the last month.
While it has declined, it isn’t a rapid decline like what we saw after the Markiplier video(which attracted a large number of people who jump games as he does).

Again, this is with basically only a couple of streamers and a giveaway on alienware as the advertisement.
If you think there will be a massive advertisement event for the “official release”, you will be disappointed my friend. The Nexon PR already sent a lot of material to the press, they contacted journalists, set up interviews, etc. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that the glory days of Dirty Bomb are behind us.
It’s easy to play with numbers and graph, but if you look at the history since the popularity peak, you can see that the number of players dropped VERY fast:
It’s not hard to explain: the game requires skill and teamplay, it’s not built for everyone and there are a lot of new players who give up very fast. Now, the stream of new players is almost dry, that’s why the number of players is stabilizing, but it’s still decreasing because:
- vets get bored to play the same 5 maps
- it’s too hard to play competitively with all the bugs and hacks
The peak of players was <7000 when you took your screenshot last month. It will be <4000 next month. You can dream that the game will be officially released in the coming months, the cheaters will disappear, there will be 9-10 maps, a good competitive scene, no more cheaters and a massive promotional event that will attract ton of gamers which will not quit after 1 month… But it will be a painful awakening.
