Increase image file size please!!!

(Sorry for my English, I am working on it)
Hi, i want to ask you:
Could you please, make Remote file size a lil bit larger?
For example from 29.3 KB to 100 KB?
I can’t set my signature image, it’s writing that “Remote file is too large”.
I’ve tried to make it smaller to how much it might, but the final size of my image file is not smaller than 40 KB.
I’ve tried to upload my image to your server via “Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer” and it ruined my image completely, it looks very $hit.

Full version of image:
PNG image, 400x133, 107 KB.
or
JPG image, 400x133, 53,1 KB (bad quality).

Cut version:
PNG, 400x100, 82.2 KB.
or
JPG, 400x100, 42.5 KB (also bad quality) .

Hope for reply!

Do you have photoshop? If you do i got a trick for you which will lover your image from 107kb to 20kb without losing quality.

(Wezelkrozum) #3

Oh tell me. I wan’t to know how you do that! I can decrease the filesize to 29kb but then the nice quality gets lost.

Why is it 29,3 and not 30 or something like that?

yes i have it. Without losing quality  ?

Yes that question has been bothering me too. My signatures always had 29.8 or 30.

Anyways, very simple.
1)Load up photoshop
2)Open up your image
3)Select File-Save for web or Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S
4)Depending on your file type, gif, jpeg select your type.
and then just hit Save.

Then you have lowered the size a lot without losing quality. If you need to lose more size, you can adjust the options in the right toolbar side.
This should work best for signatures

(trAnc3) #10

Yes, and that’s amazing!

From 65,9 KB to 21,8 KB

But it was 107KB ?!

I’ll try later that trick with my cut version of sign image.

(Pegazus) #11

Oh sorry, yes it was 107KB. My bad  Why did you not add the signature to the forum?

(trAnc3) #12

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels

My sig have 400 by 133 pixels.
I didn’t have time to make, your file resizing steps on my cut version of signatures image.
I’ll try now. If it don’t work again, can you resize cut version too?

(trAnc3) #13

Ow i understood!
When first time i was trying, to make file size less by your steps, i hit 100% in quality box, that made 70KB file size!

But now i just hit it to 70% and that made size less to 27KB, almost without losing quality!

Yeah it works:stroggbanana:! Thanks again!

(Paul) #14

Tranc3, you can make amazing picture you know!

How the **** do you do that?

(trAnc3) #15

Thanks ;D, i dunno how, i am just making them. I am using editor called Gimp ( alternative PS ).

(Paul) #16

Wow are you THAT doing with gimp? Respect

(Nail) #17

gimp is a very capable editor

(trAnc3) #18

yup)), it is not hard i think.

gimp is a very capable editor

But it also very inconvenient!

I would choose PS instead of Gimp, but it takes time to learn Photo Shop.
