Increase Field of View Limit to 130?

Can devs increase FOV limit to 130 please?

First off, a lot of people think you get an advantage for having higher fov but their is a drawback because enemies look smaller and things seem to move around faster. So you have to like decide between more view harder aim (high fov) or easier aim less view (low fov), pro quake players use like 90-100 fov and max fov in quakelive is 130. Just trying to explain how it is preference, just like high sensitivity and low sensitivity.

I already know not a lot of people don’t care about higher FOVs like 130 but please can you increase limit? The engine already supports higher FOVs up to 180, you just gotta get rid of the cap. The only reason I believe it is capped is because of the belief that you get an advantage which is false.

I prefer 130 fov because im more of a strategic type of player. I don’t really care how well I aim I just stick to teamates and just shoot to keep enemies away. You don’t have to wiggle your mouse all over the place to keep track of where your teammates are at so its easier to pass ammo and hp. Also it feels sexy because the higher your fov it feels like your running faster.

I’d like to second this motion, one of the minor issues I’ve had is not being able to play at my preferred FOV of 110.

FoV is vertical, not horizontal as you might be used to

I think its possible through console, but idk what you need to put in.

set FOV to 84 for 110 horizontal, 107 for 130 horizontal (prolly limited)

hFOV into vFOV Calc

DirtyBomb uses vFoV and you probably want hFoV?. 130h FoV ~> 101 vFoV on 1920:1080.
Max. vFoV is 100, so you are at 129 hFoV. Maybe the weapon models makes it feel smaller for you?

A while ago I checked dirtybomb fov on mouse-sensitivty.org and it shows that it uses the same fov as quake and csgo. Does anyone have an account to that site to check fov? How sure are you that it uses these calculations http://www.rjdown.co.uk/projects/bfbc2/fovcalculator.php?

I also play quakelive at 130 fov at 16:10 which is 137.5 fov. According to the rjdown site I would still need 116 fov to get 137.5 fov.

Yeah I think that site is correct. I just tested to see if 65 fov in dirtybomb at 1400x900 was really 90 horizontal fov in-game and it does seem to be 90. Thanks for the insight. But like I said I would still need about 116 fov to match 130fov in quake at 16:10.
