Inconsistent Killer information

It’s a bit difficult to find accurate search terms for this, in case it has already been reported somewhere else, i apologize.

The game is very inconsistent with displaying your killer’s information after death.

Sometimes you get a name but no loadout-card, sometimes you get nothing.
Sometimes it definitely shows the wrong killer, someone of whom you know has not even been near you.
Some methods of killing seem to be prone to contain false information, maybe turrets, some explosives, i can’t track it down exactly at this point.

It’s a mess.
Just a few minutes ago i took this screenshot, when I supposedly got killed by a grenade explosion that was suspiciously far away. I have no idea what killed me really.

Client side hit detection in action I think. What he sees and what you see are slightly different versions of the same match. You could do research on it if you’d like.

I’ve never had a ‘false’ kill feed item get listed, nor have I randomly died where I couldn’t attribute it to client side hit detection or simply bad luck on my part. I would appreciate it if you could show the false kill feed one.

I can imagine that there is some offset in distance from me to the grenade on his screen versus my screen, maybe even an offset in the grenade’s postition or both.

But the posted screenshot is still missing the killer’s information completely. I experience this quite often. Who killed me with what?

Now that I re-read your answer a couple of times, it comes to me:

You’re talking about the “Kill Feed”, I’m talking about the 3D-rendered information about the killer in the moment of death, where it’s supposed to render your opponent’s name and loadout-card and killing weapon into the deathscene.

I have not experienced wrong information in the Kill Feed (top right corner of the screen kill messages) yet, i haven’t paid severe attention to that though.
