Inconsistency

(Tom2160) #1

Can anyone tell me how I can get really consistent aim/tracking. At the moment my aim is pretty good but for some reason it never stays like that. For example yesterday morning my aim was rather poor however later on in the day I was playing on a min lvl 10 and managed to get 48/7, 39/11, etc. Again this morning my aim was rather poor. In addition to this whenever I’m inconsistent with my aim I get quite salty, which I don’t like to be.

So could any experienced player tell me how players like ragnak, Inf3rno and other great players always have great aim.

Thanks.

You’re a human. Unlike @Amerika .That’s normal.

Also based on who you vs and what mercs they play since they all have different speed, hitboxes and play styles.

Ha it happens. yesterday I had an off day and couldn’t hit shit. Everyone has off days m8 don’t feel too bad. For me it was just taking a nap and eating and I was good to go again.

Lower your sensitivity

you just got to keep playing there is no out way to get consistent and even then you will still have bad days

I played 5 years of Combat Arms Super Soldiers mode.

everybody needs at least 1 game to warmup to get consistent. and sometimes you have days where your aim just doesnt feel right, no matter how long you play. those days are the worst.

@VerticallyObese My sensitivity is already pretty low, 800dpi and 6 in-game sensitivity.

Minimum FoV?

Personally I just need to warm up with maybe a game or two. Then I play rather consistently until I get tired.
I really expected a shooting range with the updated tutorial instead of the assault course that I’ve only tried twice.
Could practice aim with all sorts of guns and get better at recoil/spread management with guns like Grandeur or maybe just adjust your nade throwing/timing or simply practice any abilities. Would also be neat if the shooting range could be accessed during ranked queues to not simply stare at the queue timer.

@VerticallyObese 75 FoV

(Verticules) #14

65 is lowest possible if I remember right, I’d try that.

that sounds like me pretty much every day

It depends on how good/bad your team and the enemy team are and it also depends on you.
If you are tired (for example you just woke up and instantly logged in DB to play) you will play worse. Also some people play better after they warm up, I don’t know why and how it works, for me the more I play the worse I play but maybe I’m just weird.
We all have bad games, it’s impossible to have 100% perfect games

my cycle is start up, may or may not need a game to warm up, and then im good, untill after 5 hours i hit a hard match, shots seems to miss, and i decide i need a break to perform better again.

Basically get fully awake.
If you suck in the morning… you might suck in the morning.

Get up, eat breakfast, maybe take a shower. A couple of pushups help as well.
Get your body and especially your brain in working mode

Do math problems.

A few things

  1. Get a decent mouse, preferabbly one with an optical sensor, and a solid shape with as low weight as possible. So when you aim you feel like you’re just moving your hand, not moving a mouse with said hand. It should feel very natural.
  2. Lower your sensitivity, if you have anything higher than 20 cm per 360 turn, it’s too high. Lower sens may be harder to learn, but your consistency WILL improve, because those movement will be remembered over time with practice, aka, muscle memory.
  3. Get a big mouse pad too, something like the Glorious XL.
  4. Learn how to strafe and stay on the move CONSTANTLY, you should never be standing still, always be moving.
