In the news...

The magazines mention that:

Brink uses SMART.
Brink is set on the ARK.
Brink allows you to customise your characters.
Brink has 3 body types, light medium and heavy.

The reporter probably makes reference to TF2 and/or Mirrors Edge, said it was developed by Bethesda using idtech 5 and it looks ‘cool’.

There, I saved you few euros.

lol, you now have to pay to be malinformed. idtech 5 xD

(.Chris.) #523

cough

It was joke about how most articles we’ve seen rehash old information or give wrong impressions.

(Protector) #524

I’ve got to admit every time I open a mag in the shop when i’m looking(because at the price they are asking no *****er wants to pay) its exactly the same info as the previous. Its funny how Brink’s amazing features have been made boring by everyone just repeating them over and over.

And it probably has exclusive pics to nothing you haven’t seen before.

mag: we would like to show some new pics from your game
beth: ok, we have some pics for you
mag: interesting, ive seen this map before 100 times, as well as those weapons, as well as the clothing
beth: thats all we got
mag: but these are supposed to be EXCLUSIVE PICS
beth: they are, no one has seen these particular pics before
mag: i guess showing the same thing over and over from different angles will suffice. ps i think your game is “cool”

german 360 live magazine has a brink preview:

http://360-live.de/forum/das-heft-an-sich/18218-360-live-02-11/

it seems to be exactly the same as ps3m. 6 page preview with loads of new screenshots. in addition ps3m has a poster, the one from its cover.

the most interesting part: “In the version we played everything seemed to be already very well balanced, the real hardcore test begins with the launch of the beta. Splash Damage didn’t want to tell yet when the beta begins. Our guess is between the next 8 to 10 weeks.”

i hope the interview was a recent one, ie post ps3 beta.

edit: according to the ps3m chief editor the in the magazines mentioned interview with rahdo is supposed to go online by tomorrow

(Nail) #532

The heavier classes assault and secure objectives, while the lighter classes are able to hack equipment, while even having the ability to disguise themselves as the enemy player and move about unnoticed.

they still get it wrong, body type and class are not interdependent

Go go Slash Damage ;o

(Mad Hatter) #535

Is it bad that I can now read these interviews in the dev’s voices? Because I can. And I like it.

Can someone translate to English my German isnt that good.

(Humate) #537

Goggle translate isnt much better. : /
Basically Rahdo explains how one can get away with not being able to aim, if they use their brain.
He gives an example of how in a playtest, he EMPed a turret near his spawn, attached a remote control device onto it - and then used it against the enemy. The rest of the answers were console centric, so I didnt really read them.
