In-game clan system?

Does anyone know if SD has any plans for an actual working clan/guild system for Dirty Bomb? It would be nice if we could have some sort of a platform, instead of just setting ourselves a clan-tag via console commands.

Some of the features I would suggest:

  • Ability to invite players
  • Set clan leader rights (kicking members, promoting members etc.)
  • Battles between clans and competitive match (possibly resurrecting the comp side of db?)

Please no. The absolute last thing they need to do is add any more to their overflowing plate of things in this game.

I really agree with the other person, honestly. I don’t want to see this game turn into some sort of ultra-competitive MOBA, where games basically just turn into guild wars instead of casual play.
It’s pretty easy to manage your clan group outside of the game anyways, so it shouldn’t be a huge priority.

Well at least if we have a proper clan system ingame, there will be a leader board or something. This will encourage people to play with each other hence the better team, and ranked play will have a purpose. There is a same system in Warface and Special Force 2, and they work very well, at least people don’t have much trouble finding ranked match.

I’d rather not. I don’t enjoy it when a game becomes clan-centric.

Yep, it’s planned.
