In Case Anyone Was Wondering Where MissMurder Went...

(XavienX) #1

I’m sorry if it’s supposed to be a secret but I might as well spread the word of a new Nexon published game that is currently in Alpha stages and is called Lawbreakers. Can’t wait for it! Anyways, MissMurder is the community manager now for Lawbreakers:

(gg2ez) #2

Wow. Quick reassignment. Guess we were correct, she did go to Lawbreakers.

(Jostabeere) #3

That forum looks unpractical as fuck.

(KayDubz) #4

Ugly forum is ugly.

(SereneFlight) #5

Well, I think it’s good… considering everything I saw in the trailer was so uninspired.

(elatedFish) #6

oh god … just another copy paste sci-fi F2P

(Remedica) #7

Find it kinda disturbing that they push out other very similar fps game even tho they haven’t even finished out this one.

(XavienX) #8

It’s technically not out yet, the Alpha testing will start in early 2016 but I do agree with you though.

(SereneFlight) #9

Probably trying to push several games and hope that at least one of them becomes a big thing.

(Nail) #10

You guys do know the difference between developer and publisher, publishers don’t write code. Publishers can have several games going without affecting dev speed

(gg2ez) #11

This. Nexon is a publisher, not a dev.

(Adam) #12

@gg2ez @Nail Though you are both correct when it comes to dirtybomb, and lawbreakers, Nexon is a developer too. MapleStory was dropped by Wizet, and Nexon took over the dev team. Combat arms was Nexon’s first 100% developed game. They also made head rush, pop tag, and mstcg. All without a 3rd party dev team. So no, Nexon is both. But in this instace, that is irrelevant. I just wanted to correct you both.

(Xan) #13

she wrote it on her personal twiter though

(Nail) #14

I meant with regards to Dirty Bomb.
Splash Damage is also a publisher and was the original publisher (Warchest) pre Nexon involvement, I was responding to this
Find it kinda disturbing that they push out other very similar fps game even tho they haven’t even finished out this one.
but even Splash Damage has been working on a couple games simultaneously, they’ve released 2 games while I’ve been in this beta

Reddit style forum? Hell no

Oh I actually remember Lawbreaker. It’s one of these new Overwatch style games. At least that’s what it seems like. It does look fast and furious though, not at all like Overwatch.

@Ctrix It’s not exactly like Reddit style forums, and I know how ugly Reddit looks, I avoid it :stuck_out_tongue:

(tominatorx) #17

I mean the game doesn’t look bad imo but it looks like Dirty Bomb is more unique thanks to it’s objective based gamemode(s).

Lawbreakers will probably have standard MP modes so I think they’re different enough. I don’t think Dirty Bomb will have to watch out for that game. I think Lawbreakers should watch out for Overwatch because it looks more similar to that than it looks similar to DB.

That’s how I see it personally.

Lawbreaker looks like the fighting could be really 3 dimensional. Sorta like what’sthename. That mech pilot game that came out recently. The CoD one. Having played it, and heard what people said, Overwatch is actually a really slow and deliberate game. Dying in that game is a big deal because respawn routes are so long and matches so short.

Lawbreaker could be a really strong game, but it’s too early to give any estimates.
Also reddit is mostly aweful because of the voting system. How are you supposed to get any arguments if downvotes are a thing and people only read highly upvoted comments?
I really prefer post by post style. You know this forum (or 4chan) where people can actually disagree. That shit is important for actual discourse.

(FalC_16) #19

I hate fast paced shooters like that… that is why I take time with DB…long ttk…slower movement…I guess I am too old for messy screen with lots of jumping, explosions etc.

(SteelMailbox) #20

It is also written on her steam profile.
