Thanks for the info. I updated from some ancient drivers and my idtech4 benches have gone down a bit. I know Brink is a different kettle of fish but I will be testing older drivers when the game does come out. I guess I’ll go with compatibility over performance for now.

ok, i checked if the hotfix helped and NOPE. this game runs worse than any other game in the past 3 years for me.
very embarrassing. if there isnt a patch or an ATI driver update than this baby is going to be resold.

First you dont need to install 11.5 and then 11.5a it is a complete driver package itself

Second 11.5a came out before Brink was even released and it does not help at all (and in fact in most cases makes your performance even worse if you can imagine)

usually new games gets driver updates (ati should try and help out soon, i assume. for Brink AND for TW2 and Fable 3 that should come out soon enough) so maybe there will be something that will improve performence but the fact that Brink was released AHEAD of time in a claim it was DONE EARLY seeing how this is the game that gets the lowest scores because of bugs , glitches and technical issues make me wonder how does a situation like this happen…
