Important : experience not stacking

(tinker) #1

Hey
I just explored that the experience of games started nearly at the same time won’t add up.
I saw characters levelling up so many times and they stil hang around the 3rd class Or so…

I do not know what the levels are good for anything, I did not see any difference.

And I don’t know if you read my other threads but the backflash aura still shows up on an enemy’s screen even on ‘ghost’ agents… So what is ghost useful for, when close to the commander?

With friendly regards

The Commander has a detection aura in addition to Backlash (see the description in the Barracks for details), so that’s why your Ghosted Operative is getting detected. Good idea to take the Commander out before Ghosting if he’s close by.

In regards to the experience, can you elaborate? Profile XP will get you additional Commander Abilities/Coins as you progress through the ranks. Individual Soldier XP is purely cosmetic.

This page is so unfriendly for mobile devices…
Not even auto save does work…

MY commander shows the enemy with his backflash aura where my ghosted sniper is.
The sparkle it does mirrors on my invisible sniper… At least on its contures’.
I make a screenshot as soon as I can

Short about the exp
My characters jump fOrward and backward In their tank.
Sometimes they appear to me volunteer without exp in the barracks… Wtf

I noticed the experience bit too. For example, I’ll finish one game and level up Dave to 10 from 9 (easier using numbers to reference level). Meanwhile I have Dave in other games still ongoing. I’ll then complete another game and Dave is still showing there as level 9 and not level 10. He’ll then get experience and again become level 10. So, Dave is effectively reaching level 10 twice as if the experience is not stacking.

Now, whether the reality is different I’m not sure. It does ‘seem’ that Dave’s XP is cumulative but I haven’t watched the actual numbers to be 100% sure of that. If nothing else it’s the confusing visual you get where it appears after a game that your XP is not accumulating, IE: a soldiers level is showing as less than it is based on a recently completed game.

Ah yes, thanks for spelling that out. We think we know what’s causing characters’ XP to occasionally reset and if it is what we’re thinking of, it’ll be fixed in one of our next updates.

Tinker, in regards to the Backlash aura, your enemy won’t see your Ghosted sniper being affected by it - this is purely for your own benefit.

I think I saw the position of the opponent’s ghosted sniper by the Backlash aura, at the end of the opponent turn. Maybe you should check this again.

Was the enemy sniper within 5 turns of your Commander?

when i said that the backflash aura shows the enemy MY sniper, it was no question, it was a fact. I have 2 pictures of that on my ipod ( 1 poison and 1 backflash) i just have to upload them, i’ll do it today

here they are, they were on my brothers turn, it is the BACKFLASH-aura that shows my sniper after he moved and the poisen before he moved…

No. Quite the same with the pics that tinker uploaded.

In addition, I have noticed that you can guess the position of the ghosted sniper if the opponent moved his/her ghosted sniper first in his/her turn. The replay movie automatically focus on the moved unit even though the unit is ghosted. Although I think this is not a big problem and acceptable. You don’t know how the sniper moved anyway.
