I'm yet to play in a full room 8v8

What gives?! The most ‘human players’ Ive had on my team at any given time is 6, but the opposition had 2.

I think you need to limit peoples options so they end up in game together, I’m not sure where everyone is but i seem to be going through each playlist option just to find a decent MP game with real people. I could jump on Shadowrun right now and get in a full game with real players but i cant in Brink eh.

Same and I’ve played both on the 360 since launch and the PS3 since last week. Most i’ve had was 5 v 5 in competitive. Could really do with a matchmaking system!

With the netcode being much improved they really should update the playlist to make standard 8v8 again and do away with big team, it would fracture the community much less.

Standard, Advanced and Old School were set to max 8 human players as a stop gap so people with lag issues could play until the net code was patched. I’ve played a ton of full 8v8’s in Big Teams, hopefully the playlists will be changed back soon enough though.

Agreed,

maybe change ‘Free play’ to ‘Multiplayer’ I’m unsure if people are only playing online co-op or if no one is playing at all.

I play on the PC and i had no idea the state of the console versions was so bad.
I feel sorry for you guys. Lets hope they add lobbies and an improved matchmaking system at least.

Yeah, 360 matchmaking is pretty weak. Even when trying competitive mode, most games end up 4v3 in my experience. This game on consoles REALLY needs a lobby and better matchmaking system. It would literally save this title for me because the core game itself is fairly good.

I mean even Monday Night Combat, an Arcade title, does this very successfully and still has a very active community due to it’s fluid online.

netcode much improved? play 8v8 (big teams) - i play on 360, too … and if u choose big teams ull get sometimes a 8v8 with humans only …

but there you will see, that the netcode is still a problem … 8v8 with only humans is still laggy - and it feels like you play a game with 30 fps … atleast it feels like that … i know fps has nothing to do with lag - but it feels like there is both: lag and fps problems

so the netcode is still a problem, and so i think the standard with 8 humans maximum is still okay … i wish they patch this soon, i imagine brink 8v8 without bots and without lags could be so great … but didnt play 1 match without a little bit of lag so its just a dream

It’s alright for some then, I’ve played 2 days worth of brink and i’m yet to play MP as it was intended.

i play on PS3 and have built up quite a friends list, mostly due to the thread set up here on the forum, we utilize invites and the in-game friends list and there have been more than a few times i could not join a game because it was full.

Having the same problem. I jump on every day to see if I can get into a full room, but have had little success. I have more luck on the weekend.

Isn’t Brink a 30fps game?
