This is BS, Splash Damage. I really love this game, I love Splash Damage, I love most of everything about this game… except for the RNG. This is BS to the highest degree. I’ve been grinding for both days, hours on end, only stopping to pee or eat and still no CW case, nothing good from the expert cases, nothing good from the trillions on millions of normal cases that trick me into thinking that it’s a CW case. I know this is mostly me whining, but in all honesty I don’t care. People are getting over 4 of these frickin’ CW cases just for playing, while me and others grind our butts off for hours and hours just trying to get an ingame skin. This event has forced me to grind Execution, which I really really don’t like, just so I can play the most games possible in the shortest amount of time. That’s how RNG works, and if I loved Execution then I wouldn’t have a huge problem, but here’s my problem: I’ve been grinding so much the game isn’t fun anymore. I love this game, I really do it’s my favorite game to play because it’s my escape. Sticky bombing people, or filling them with holes with Thunder’s LMG is so much fun (well that sounded sadistic, haha), but when the game isn’t fun for me? You done effed it up.
TL;DR I guess is, I’m tired of grinding for these damn cases. Why can’t you guys make it to where you have to EARN a certain amount of XP, or time, or whatever to EARN a case? Is that too much to ask? Is that such a big deal? I know I shouldn’t complain about getting free stuff in a free-to-play game but seriously? Why are people who play for like 5 minutes getting cases, while me and others grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, and grind and NOTHING? This is BULL! It pisses me off that I see like level 7’s running around in their shiny, new, not grinded for CW skins while I, a level 21, still can’t get one? They didn’t earn that! They didn’t grind for those cases! They just said “Let’s play a bit of Dirty Bomb” and then said “Ooo, a case!” after bottomscoring on an execution match! I never wanted to write this angry/whiny rant about a game, but COME ON SPLASH DAMAGE! Just give us something that us high levelers can earn, not pray to RNGesus for! PLEASE!!!
I'm Tired of Grinding for RNGesus... [RANT]
And yet there are people who actually paid money they earned for CW cases.
I mean, I understand you. I grinded a whole month (since I was on vacation and my girlfriend worked most of the time) and I opened 1200 normal CW cases just to get 1 card. I played 2 days to get 1 case to drop. I have a shitton (8) of gold Auras with shotguns I will never use in this game and I never complained about the RNG. Don’t let the RNG be your boss. If you don’t get one, fine. Don’t need to be so upset about some skins in a videogame.
If something is FORCING you to GRIND, you maybe need a break.

Level 31 here, i feel you but it’s the RNGesus is testing you, stay strong brother, stay strong, amen.
“I’ve been grinding so much the game isn’t fun anymore.”
Well, this is part of their business model and part of f2p generally. Don’t want to wait? Spend some $$$ and get exactly what you…
Oh wait…
level 51, crafted 2 cobalts and all shit. bought like a million cases and still no cobalt drop. fck rng
level 33, crafted 2 cobalts as well… First cobalt drop was two days ago… And as much as I am happy, I would like CW skin more than anything, it is one one month deal.
Also spent hours and hours playing yesterday and today to get that case… guess what? nothing.
Also from normal cw cases in last 2-3 days I got 6-7 bronzes, 1 silver and as I mentioned 1 cobalt… I am still unhappy
Game just got boring after all that grinding!
I hear ya. If nothing else this weekend has really brought the whole RNG bs to the forum’s attention, though the fact that nobody has ever acknowledged it makes me think it’s just how it is. As long as it’s earning them money, what incentive is there to change it?
We all just want to look shiny. Skins make you faster, stronger, better! See:
I just wish someone would realize that simply selling cosmetic items straight up without rng would bring in so much more money. I got money, I don’t mind spending it to look shiny but I damn well don’t want to roll a dice for it.
“Hello, I want a carton of milk.” “Certainly, press this button to receive some form of liquid. Milk has a ten percent chance, good luck.” “But…”

Milk example is great
I understand why they do the whole RNG thing, to try and encourage people to buy more than they need to - and really, I can’t say I don’t like random cases with chances to get the skins I like. But there’s a huge difference between how CS:GO cases do it (the obvious comparison and likely the reason we even have cases at all) and the poor way that Dirty Bomb does it. The suggestion I’ve made a bazillion times:
Merc Skins
Make “equippable” merc skins that change the way a specific merc looks available to buy from the store. Straight up purchase, no RNG.
Weapon Skins
Make “equippable” weapon skins that change the way a specific weapon looks available through cases available from the store. Throw in some RNG.
Customizable Loadouts
Keep them as they are, but allow people to slot in their merc/weapon skin to relevant cards if they wish. Loadouts without any skins equipped have the original skin from the loadout.
This system keeps the existing loadout stuff in tact without having to do a huge overhaul, but creates a way to offer seasonal skins that people will absolutely buy.

But people would stop byung once they got their lovely things. And with fixed they gonna reach that point much faster.

i wish you would realize that there is no way that would ever work. it would bring in more money faster, but eventually it would stop pretty much completely. Dirty Bomb is pretty popular, but it is not popular enough for something like this to work, simple as that. The rng is always going to be here no matter what. How about spending some money on the 10 elite CW cases and actually supporting the game instead of whining?
11h of playing, not a single guaranteed CW case. Yesterday when going to sleep I decided to post something similar if I didn’t get a case during my first session today. Of course I didn’t get any, but at least you have you helped me out with this rant
I bought a 18h credit booster with the intention of using fully this weekend to get credits and some nice CW skins. I have 7h left, but at this point I just don’t want to play. Not because the game itself bores me. It’s because of the BS level of RNG that is a kick in the balls to the regular players like me. I really thought this was a way to partially make up for the insane levels of RNG in normal and elite CW cases. But no, it turns out you doubled down on this idiocy. Fuck this.
Because voicing your concerns with a system in the game is clearly just whining. The forums exist to discuss things like this. Dirty Bomb isn’t a charity - people will support it if they feel there are purchases worth making, and right now there aren’t.
Edit: Reptitiveness removed!
@Hibbsan I did that, didn’t really feel like it got appreciated by the game since I didn’t get anything decent in return.
@SpinnerzNQ I agree with you ._. Sigh. fuck this rng. still haven’t gotten one. Sick of it. especially when you got that one asshole bragging how he’s got four of 'em…
Even having 2 CW cards, 1 from opening ~250 regular cases (just over 50/50 chance of having at least 1 cw card at that point), 1 from a guaranteed drop, I would have preferred a system where everybody gets 1 guaranteed case by logging in, and have an even lower chance for a guaranteed case to drop after games. Heck, it could have been another 0.3% and I wouldn’t really care, cause the certainty of having at least 1 CW card, even a bad one, to show that you were around is better than a chance to, theoretically, get as many as you can grind for. The reality is that a lot of those people grinding for them just aren’t going to get a card.
I’m still going to grind in hopes of getting an actually good CW card to showoff, rather than clutter up my cards, but I can sympathize with the people who have done the grind and have nothing to show for it. I’m probably going to log close to 20h by the time the event ends, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t get another guaranteed drop by then.

Those who paid deserve having as much as they like. But as far as the free event case is concerned that’s plain bullshit and cannot be defended.
