I'm Playing Proxy...

(Note that a lot of my posts involve me playing proxy)

So I’m playing proxy on underground. We’re on second stage offence. I start planting. Out of nowhere, a Vassili comes in and starts planting with me. So does a Rhino. I then finish planting, but apparently the Vassili and the Rhino don’t know that, because they’re still looking at the ground and holding f. And then 4 Skyhammers come out of fcking nowhere to “help”, and then I realize almost my [b]entire fcking team thinks they’re still arming C4.[/b] A Bushwacker walks along and we just kinda watch, and oh my god did I just hear K-121 fire-

So yeah. There’s my weekly rant.

Levels of your teammates?
If they’re low levels, then it’s kinda understandable.
If they’re level 10+… that’s embarrassingly stupid.

Why…? The planting bar disappears. I just can’t comprehend.

On a similar note, I wonder will they ever at least change the UI for “teammate repairing” to something that makes people stop “helping”? What we got instead is engineers saying some stuff no one listens to because they’re concentrated on “helping”.

I also question that actions of that Fragger, because this clearly is at least a Blast Master waiting to happen :slight_smile:

Playing this game has exposed me to levels of stupidity that I didn’t think were possible.

Games where people will “help” you by fighting for repairs.
Games where people will all pick a fire support and you’ll be stuck being the only medic OR engineer, inevitably losing because these idiots couldn’t think to help the team.
Games where people will all try and plant when you clearly have it after clearing the enemy.
Games where people on attack will sit in a corner and camp, never even attempting to make progress.

I don’t understand this mentality. I’ve always made an effort to challenge myself and get better at games but these people… how do they find it fun to get rolled over and over? It’s like TF2’s infamous last point engineer players who never ever move.

Edit:

Games where you have a Proxy who completely ignores the C4.
Games where you ask for help or for someone to go engineer and have some scrub who’s obsessed with his masculinity constantly try to shit talk.

@LifeupOmega I know what you feel bro. I may not have the best aim. I may sometimes cock up like switch from ability to a secondary instead of primary, etc etc. But at least I know what this game is about.

What infuriates me the most is the unwillingness to die when defending objectives. There’s a Proxy (chosen so this post is somewhat on topic :slight_smile: ) defusing the C4. Instead of charging in and killing her, they just sit in a safe spot because OMG they will die and not achieve that perfect KD…

I’m sorry, I know you’re hurting and all, but this is golden. I’ve never seen something like this, but in 300 hours you see some shit. It makes me think I really need to finally enable Shadowplay and upload that stuff :slight_smile:

Had a game where someone was calling another player a hacker, because he was killed in one shot and stated the reason that he shouldn’t have been killed in one shot was because he had a silver card while the other only had a iron.

I had a good laugh over that one.

I’m playing Proxy and everyone knows about the putting down a mine then shooting it trick right? So I somehow get behind the entire enemy team, put down a mine in the middle of the cluster and just blast it out from underneath them. Called hacker for “teleporting explosives hack”.
