lights as in the light entities or the models for a light?

Either way, right click on the 2d view and choose light, enter a value (consult light tutorials for best results) and your done.

If your talking about models, then choose misc_model and choose the model you want from the light folder.

I noticed if you place a model of a light far enough into a structural brush so that it looks flush, you will cause a leak.
In these cases, I have been doubling the thickness of the brush and cutting out an inner section that is then made a detail brush.
Then I put the light models into the detail brush.

I believe it’s a trick to hide a part of a model… Not mentioned that it’s a bad habbit as you eventually create overlapping stuff.
