So, I’ve been an avid combat arms player since 2009 (EU servers) and I downloaded this game yesterday since Combat Arms hasn’t really changed much since it was created. I was shocked to come to these forums to check the latest updates/announcements to find out that Dirty Bomb was created by nexon!

Now, before anyone attacks me on this one I want to just clarify that combat arms is still a great game.

HOW THE HELL CAN YOU CREATE SUCH BEAUTY LIKE DIRTY BOMB AND HAVE AN ATROCITY LIKE COMBAT ARMS AS ONE OF YOUR OTHER CREATIONS! This game is godlike! I can’t believe I didn’t download it sooner! The mercenary (or whatever they’re called) system is amazing! Ofcourse it’s a pay to win game (like any other free game) but it’s really balanced compared to Combat Arms!

Well done nexon! I think this game is your first REAL success. I mean maple story was big but I personally thought it was awful.

Any tips & tricks for a newbie, anyone? (I do generally get a 2.0 k/d each game so I’m not that bad)

It’s really NOT a pay to win game… People throw that word around so much that it has lost meaning. I was top of the scoreboard last match with Skyhammer using the free Alienware loadout and people were calling me pay to win left and right.

You never have to spend a cent in this game to be on equal ground, therefore it is not pay to win. You can purchase every merc and loadout with in game credits and beyond bronze the loadouts provide no benefits. On the topic of mercs both Aura and Skyhammer are great mercs and there’s ALWAYS free rotations going.

“Stabby Aura” - I’m most definetely gonna enjoy this game. Anywho, cornjester. I did say this game is very well balanced. I’m just saying you can pay to get the better classes quicker. No harm meant by it. Luv yu. xo

It’s all good and welcome to the game! I hope you enjoy it here! However that’s really pay to grind less and not really pay to win. Pay to win means being able to buy power that you cannot gain through playing normally, or is very difficult to gain. It can do harm to a game to label it pay to win when it is not.

Better classes? No. More interesting ones? For sure. But as mentioned above, you can get all of them without spending any money and there’s always 3 available on rotation.

And when i say Melee Aura it’s because i have her loadout that transforms her into them Serial Killers. Hehe.

Also Nexon didn’t create Dirty Bomb, they are jus the publisher. Splash Damage made Dirty Bomb.

Nexon didn’t make Combat Arms and Maplestory either. No Idea why people think that.

If you compare this game to any other free to play game, it really isn’t anywhere close to pay2win and I hope the Devs don’t ruin that title.

Hearty welcome to the forum, amigo. Whatever your opinions and information tidbits might be, I’m glad you’re here to share them. I’m surprised, I’ve seen more people say they come from Combat Arms than people saying they come from Counter-Strike, not to say that reflects there are more CA players here than CS, but it does reflect that I’ve seen more CA players than I thought I was gonna.
