Not a bad attempt! Keep in mind that a key feature of pixel art is the usage of a limited color pallet, not just a huge array! Try and get your hands of the colors of maybe the Nintendo Gameboy, or the NES.
Additionally, learn how to use dithering to create shades and “round” shapes, and always supply a zoomed out version of the pixel art. Not just a close up.
