I'm having trouble recording the game, my files keep getting split.

Anyways, I’ve tried recording using Bandicam, DXtory, D3D Gear, and PlayClaw all pieces of software are splitting files ONLY for Dirty Bomb. They don’t do it for any other game, just DB. So I figure the problem lies with DB, not with the recording software.

The files are split whenever new games start, so if I’m in the lobby, select a game to play, DB splits it right at the loading screen before the game starts. It’s kinda weird.

I prefer to not put the files together because that adds like 2-3 hours to render a new video.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I also just tried OBS. Tried to use Gamecapture mode, Window Capture mode and even Monitor Capture mode. They all froze just after the map loaded. The video is frozen but the audio continues.

There has to be a way for me to fix this.

Give XSplit a try. It’s a whole productions studio in one and supports a whole host of features. They have a free demo available to see if it’s the solution for you.

Full disclosure, I’m one of XSplit’s moderators so, I’m a bit biased. Hope it works for You.

Try window/monitor capture with the game running in borderless windowed.
I think the game refreshes the rendering source each time a map gets loaded so the recording software automatically creates a new file for the new source.

I believe it’s your system, whatever you are running is limiting the maximum size for one video so it splits it up. My windows limits my videos to be about 3GB max each, so whenever I use ShadowPlay to record it uses big files and it splits the videos up. But I use OBS because it compresses the file A LOT better and I can fit like what ShadowPlay records in 8GB only in 2GB with OBS.
