So all we see is our crosshair and nothing else when we zoom in, thank you I’m out

What am I supposed to see on the second image ? No seriously I think I am totally missing the point, or the joke.
I’m for this and against this. Don’t know which one I’d rather prefer.
The second image reminds me of when I played AVA and when you zoom in, rather than seeing your ironsights, you just kinda zoom in on the side of your gun like that and your crosshair’s spread gets smaller, and tighter. I did like that a lot as it didn’t obstruct your view.
Of course if you have a sight on your gun then you’d see through the actual sight (scope, red dot, holographic, etc).
Maybe a toggle option for this?
Basically instead of iron sights you will just zoom in like the old days. So you don’t have the iron sights blocking your view, and can use your crosshair to aim your shots.
Here’s a video
While it may be better tactically, it doesn’t feel better for me. It’s like the sights in Fallout 3 where the gun just zoomed a bit. I don’t know. It kind of ruined the immersion for me, so I don’t want it to be like that.

Oh well, I wouldn’t mind that change. But it’s less immersive.
Or you could make right-click just temporarily lower the FOV leaving gun and crosshair as they are when hipfiring.
Of course everyone should be able to choose from the previous aiming and this one more “fps arena oriented”.

At least having the option to would be nice
Before anyone says that the current ADS system is more ‘realistic’, just know that in real life you aim with both eyes, and it means that your view is not obscured by iron sights.
In fact, holographic sights are built specifically so that when you look down them with both eyes open, it actually does look like there is a floating crosshair in front of you, rather than just a dot on your scope.
So, if anything, the fact that modern ADS systems actually obscure your vision is LESS realistic.
I still think FPSes need to simulate two eye perspective for ADS. Something as simple as blurring out and dropping the opacity on most of the weapon would look lovely IMO.
reminds me of fallout 3. i like it a lot. Although the problem could also be fixed if they just added swappable sights for each weapon…

Except for Redeye. #1eyeproblems
Hip firing is for every single newb out there, for me included which is why I love DB^^
Those who iron sight have to overcome the disadvantage of their gun obstructing their view (kira’s scope). As a bonus you get accuracy boost. I tried to reset my crosshair by using iron’s and if you know how to do it properly you will become a laser beam.
yee it could be option because the way they are right now they look cool bat are very hard to use soooo i am in
