ignore function doesn't work on news

i got <guess-who> on ignore. he’s still visible on the news comments:

please fix it!

and while you’re at it, it would be super-awesome if you could remove every single bit of him, even quoted comments

News comments on the main site are separate from VB’s forum alchemy so its various functions don’t carry over. This particular one seems worth looking at, though, thanks for bringing it up.

I don’t have anyone on ignore, not even crabapple :frowning:

Closing until this issue can be revisited. Wouldn’t want anyone else to accidentally on purpose reveal who’s on their ignore list.
