Imo, forget all the taunts.
Add more compliments (ie “Great shot!”) and more commands (ie “Follow me!”)
Most importantly, add more in later patches when we’ve played it and actually know what new ones to add.

Asking for ammo: “I want that one” (See sig)
For the crack “HI I’M BARRY SCOTT, AND SAY GOODBYE TO BLOOD STAINS WITH NEW CILLIT BANG!”
For more crack “Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy Stroggy, Strike force STRIKE FORCE!”
If that ad would show up on a in-helmet display during the vsay, I’d /kill myself.
or even; “Stop shooting me in the back you camping retard”
Only if accompanied by “Have you got time to duck?”

Thinking of the ‘fulls finger and farts’ post, how about a couple of animated gestures? givng the bird springs to mind.
What would be cool is if we could turn the secondary vsay off, just keep the important ‘‘main’’ ones, like medic, ammo… etc… that way we get less spam.
I disagree, you will get spam regardless, better to have more options rather than listen to the same ones over and over
GDF
> terminate enemy
> make it so [picard]
> attack pattern alpha
> run awaaaaaay
> give it toes
Strogg
> Recycle all humans
> Annihilat the vermin
> Stroyent adds life
> Leave no survivors
I didn’t say to remove secondary vsay i said to be able to turn it off, in the audio options i guess. So you can keep them if you want but also have the ability to remove them for people who don’t enjoy constant radio spamming. I know i enjoy a more relaxed and focused game.
Ah yes i see. mute certain or groups of vsay
Possibly the choice to mute selected spammers also by TAB, point, mute player
Main one should remain obligatory, only have ‘‘turn off’’ options for more exotic vsay. It’s just a suggestion, i know it would make me happy to hear whats going on around me instead of hearing radio all the time.
GDF:
" Enemy indisguise… guess who it is, Stroggs cant wear GDF-Panties!"
There also should be taunts
“Stroggs are emokids!” btw. ^^
Turning vsay’s on/off would be irrelevant ultimately wouldn’t it? I mean once you set-up your keybinds for your favourites. Actually, thinking about it, we will have the option to set-up vsay keybinds to the number pad won’t we? Please say yes… pretty please… pretty pretty please maybe?
On a side note related to vsay’s, how about different accents? Sounds a bit strange and maybe pointless but the GDF won’t by definition all be American. After all this isn’t the real world :D. The Strogg will no doubt have some strange grunting to be interpreted so how about a choice of accents to choose from for the GDF, for example American, British, French and German. I think it would give a better sense of the Global nature of the GDF.
Earlier, they said they would keep the W:ET style vsay menu alongside the “Q rose”.
And because ET:QW is still based on Doom 3, custom keybinds will always work.
bind o “say hello to :tapir:”
It would be your presonnal choice to turn secondary vsay audio on/off. Well, that’s what i was trying to say, like it’s your personnal choice to adjust the graphics, i think we should be able to turn off secondary vsay in the options for those that don’t want to hear 3000 msgs minutes but only want to hear the important ones, objectives/teamplay related. Of course, you’re going to say it wouldn’t matter because then everyone only as the main vsay active, well at least it could reduce it alot.
I would have vsay that would play everytime I killed som1 and it would say : “Hehe, I like totally owned you, yeah thats right, B****” form Family Guy.
Another one would be “You stupido Englishman, I fart… in your general direction!” from Monty Python. :moo:
I’d like to see local say’s. Only players within x range can hear them, and nothing is spammed in chat.
“You Idiot!” and “Over here” were my favorites from Tribes.
That would be a nice option to add to the game.
While the vsays transcripts would still show up in the chat, you could hear them only if you are close enough to your teammate/enemy.
Imagine “MEEDIIIIIIIIC” echoing from afar. Would be a great effect for those with positional audio.
I would use a local “Pssst” to scare a Strogg sniper, just before shooting it at point blank with the engie’s shotgun.
