I really don’t want to see anything like a flash bang in this game. I hate it - HATE IT - when games force you to be blind. The absolute lack of control and helplessness is unbelievably frustrating, you lose the ability to outplay your opponent because they’ve already won by getting a huge headstart on you while you’re blind.

They are not getting any new nades. 3 of your options are already covered by Mercs that will be coming. Incendiary (Stoker), Smoke (Red Eye), Flashbang (Thunder).

So EMP is the only new one, could be interesting on a new Merc. Something along the line as lower cooldown or higher AOE than Fraggers but only disables deployments for a 5-10 second duration. (since it would be an assault class I would be for a faster one with a new LMG as default).

Fragger is assault class however I think giving it a flashbang would make him a bit overpowered. Give someone in the assault group smoke grenades and I will be happy. Giving smoke grenades to a sniper class is just silly, that’s not where we need them.

Flashbang would be really annoying if it were against you, and it would definitely be a weak spot for Vassili.

it’s called a concussion grenade, can’t remember if it blinds or just disrupts

I knew someone would point that one out. To be honest tho a flashbang and a concussion nade plays the same role in games temporarily disrupting players (by affecting vision and sounds) without killing them.

As for classes as far as I understood it Thunder is an Assault that is HP and Speed wise right between fragger and rhino (unless they change him before release).

Thunder was slightly tougher (+10hp) and slower than fragger. Concussion/Flash grenades were harder to use efficiently tho. Their mechanics got reworked a couple of times. But on the last build, it could blind for around 3s if it fell just in front of enemies and slow people a bit.
