Ideas for matchmaking fair Teams

Hey guys,

I remember when we played gathers and it turned out that the teams are totally unbalanced.

Do you have Ideas, how to shuffle teams for fair matches?

We could shuffle teams by:

  • K/D

  • XP ( Only XP gained during gather/comp. matches)

  • W/L

That would be the first parameters I have in mind.
As we play more and more gathers, someone ( prob. me) can simply copy the numbers in an excel sheet and so we have specific numbers for each players.

We then need to define how we shuffle teams:

  • For example:

Every team needs at least 15000 XP ( calculated by the average XP gained by each player during gathers ) and each player in the the team provides an equal amount of XP for this number.

My method was to pick captains that have either the experience/performance or knowledge of other players. As long as there’s not as much of a chance for one team to have a better team comp it works out. The last gather had pretty much all close games as far as I know. One option is to implement the skill rating system based on wins and maybe have a “kills per match” uprank multiplier. For now I’ll stick to the lazy method of what’s been working.
