Ideas for Brink 2/Brink Multiplayer

I’m sure that alot of players have porblems with how Brink’s Online Play is extremely limited to only the Campaign. Well I was thinking of some different game Modes that could be used for Brink’s Multiplayer.

[li]King of The Hill

A single Command Post lies in the center of the map, much like the Tower Defense Challenge. Each team is given a 5 minute timer, and they must hold possesion of the Command Post for a culminitive 5 minutes. This means they don’t lose progress when the post is captured.

[li]Capture the Flag
[/li][/ul]
All should be familiar with the Capture the Flag game mode, so I won’t explain it. The ‘Flag’ Will be the Breifcase from the “Smash and Grab” Security Mission

[li]Base Capture
[/li][/ul]
There are 3 command posts in the map, one near the Resistance, One with the Security, and one in the middle of the map. All 3 can be captured by Any Faction. 10 minutes on the Timer, points are added to the team score every minute. At the end of the 10 minutes, the Faction with the most points wins.

[li]Bot Battle

2 Variations on this one.
One, The Security are on the attacking team, while the Rebels are defending. The Security need to exsort a Maintenance Bot from Point A to Point B. Simple
The Other, both teams control a Bot, and both need to get them into the other teams ‘Point B’ from their ‘Point A’

In all games, The Soldier, Engineer and Operative Class will play their part to Hinder the Opposing Teams chances and Help their own team. Each Class would Also Counter Act another class.

Soldiers would Plant charges on walls and create new paths to objectives, countering the Engineers structure buildining.

Engineers would Build Barriers and Structures to create paths for their team and block other paths for the other team, and will counter Soldiers HE Charges, and Operatives Hack Box’s

Operatives would have a variety of hack options. Some Hack points would open paths for his team, shut down important paths for the enemy, and cause other hassles for the enemy’s.

I wasn’t awate of Territories in Halo, but Base Captures main inspiration was Domination from COD. It’s all the same :stuck_out_tongue:

They read most(all) threads on here, you’ve already ‘forwarded’ as it were.

If there is going to be a Brink 2 (big huge if), then I wouldn’t expect to hear any details till at least this time next year.

Oh no! We’ve got to get this guy off this forum ASAP before the… Oh know is it to late… The Brink assassinator might get a wind of this and take this idea out and it will never see the light, like all the other great pre-release ideas of the past! :oppressor::penguin:

Oh, Another Quick thing Regarding the Capture the Flag, there could also be an Attack/defend CTF, jusit like with Smash & Grab

Tese game modes are great. It would be awesome if they could have a Brinky twist though. For example hacking to open a door where the flag is…maybe that defeats the purpose. Anyway i think it is unlikely we will see a Brink 2. Even though i would preoreder it on day 1. If SD were to make another game i would say that it would be outside of the somewhat damaged brand of Brink.

Hopefully it would be similar in spirit though.

The both teams having to escort a bot is a great idea - especially if they both had to do objectives like repair crane etc. along the way. Even more so if the bots passed one another at the half way point in a crossroad junction :smiley:

we don’t need a Brink 2, just more content for Brink… and it’s comin in the first DLC patch.

I protest! I play Brink because I don’t want to play any of those type of games.

And I think you mean it’s like domination from UT. That game is over 10 years old now. I bet there’s other games with similar game types.

These game types makes no sense and breaks immersion.

Then stick with objective play and don’t touch the new modes if they come out?

It might even help sales and eventually more people into said obj gameplay.

iwould love a Team DeathMatch gametype i mean i already love the objective stuff but i would love to see how TDM would go on this game lol
