Idea : Min lvl 5 servers should allow 1 high level player to join.

(Anaconda) #1

This way, the high level player can tutor the under 5 level players on how to get better.

It will only allow ONE higher than lvl 5 player to join.

What do you guys think?

(Armuh) #2

r u srs

(tominatorx) #3

Wouldn’t that just lead to one guy stomping all the rest of the players?

(Xan) #4

Maybe as a overviewer and teach lower lvl players but not directly particiate in matches

For example. making them invunerable and cant deal damage to others
For extreme:make a “tutoring” server which like i said making everyone invunerable and cant deal damage to others.Teaching lower levels how to trick jump or how to aim

they could also introduce a commend system which allow players to have a slight xp or credit boost after getting commends, this will encourage people to be willing to teach and be friendly

Pub stompers wet dream.

(BananaSlug) #6

lol no

(YeOldeButtcheek) #7

Just make an alternate account if you want to pull off that kinda stuff.

(ZeSpecter) #8

isn’t learning the game just part of the fun? I know I would hate having some high level player point out every single mistake I make, better off learning it on my own imo

(FireWorks) #9

First thought: roflstomp…
Second: Maybe only as spec. But then he cant show things.

Conclusion: Needs a lot of additional work for a true tutor mode. Naaa

Why does the current generation of gamers need so much hand holding to learn the simple basics of all games today? What is wrong with them?

I have seen teams try defending on Chapel without a single skyhammer/Arty why do they find such simple meta so hard? it’s a game not rocket science.

(KorpKyuuSama) #11

because new players love ppl telling them what to do…

(Jostabeere) #12

Ahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaha…NO.

(Mr-Penguin) #13

A mentor system? Good idea.

Allowing a high level player to stomp new ones? No.

(NightingaleZ0) #14

Can’t stop laughing. Can you imagine. The rape and slaps to every newb’s face hahhahaha.

(Carniege) #15

@Anaconda I think that it’s a good idea to mentor people as @derpypenguinz19 said but the way you offered would be pretty shit ngl. Tbh I think a second tutorial should be enough, considering there are a lot of YouTubers giving out tips and tricks videos, such as kAndryREW and NuclearSharkhead.

(SereneFlight) #16

Tutor? All you really need is common sense in order to figure out how stuff works and stuff.

(iPod_) #17

I seriously hope you were high when you were making this.

(Drcipres) #18

MAYBE make it like in TF2, when you could say to a specific player, “Go here” “Go there” etc.

(SamillWong) #19

That is an awful idea… The pro player will only stomp them like ants, and it will make the game rely on pros tutoring too much. What if the pros refuse to tutor them?

(Borganism) #20

Ive tried to mentor players about repairing, reviving, deployable placement and so forth and all I get in return is the low level player telling me I dont know how to play the game and that I’m wrong and they are right.

Its a good thought to try and mentor, but you cant help the stubborn unwilling jackasses.
