Ice Cold And Nitros Rhino Augment

ive been using both kind of loadout and i cant see which one is better.

Which one is “Better?”

In most situations, Nitros.

Ice Cold let’s you dispense a lot salt lead, but holding the trigger long enough for that to matter means you couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from inside.

The minigun has pretty crazy DPS, so it doesn’t need to be always firing to drop bodies. One of the weaknesses of the miningun is the spin-up time. Reducing that increases the odds you drop the other guy first.

Only proper utilization of IC over N2O I’ve found is destroying secondary generators and doors. But the addition to even that is lacking, so Nitros all the way

have SD anything said about these augments in the first place?
i mean why did they decide to put ice cold in the first place if its not better than Nitro?

Because many of the mercs and augments end up being used and perceived differently than they first anticipated.

i only use ic because i got it from cobalt, but nitro lets you be waaay more aggresive and sneaky, ic just lets you destroy secondary obj and ev

tbh i would just give rhino that n2o benefit as default and replace it with other perks, now i see it as must have, because it makes rhino soo much better

N2O is pretty much required on him. If you hold the right click and spin-up you’re giving away your position. In a competitive match where you use Rhino to hold areas with an Aura station it’s not bad to hold the right click at times but even then you’re giving good information away to players who can do something about it in many cases. And if you are pubbing then you never want to give away your position or you’ll just be spammed/swarmed from all sides due to the lack of team crossfire to prevent it and more numbers on a pub.

So N2O is pretty valuable as a pub augment and still the most useful in a competitive sense as you can keep your gun not spun up at times to bait people and then quickly mow the lawn due to the shortened spin-up time.

I just use the ahnuld loadout with tough, I don’t even have it in bronze which means I’m missing out on IC and it’s plenty good, but I only play rhino in pubs
