The reason I would love to see character skins/models separated from cards is so we can buy new character skins and models directly from the Store.
I don’t mind keeping rare and random mixes on the Silver and up cards but it would be nice to have the option to buy specific looks.
This would make the players happy and give this game a very good source of revenue ( LoL and TF2 ) without upsetting the balance of the game.
But it will make less income for SD. Main source is people buying elite cases trying to get perfect gold/cobalts.
With skins you buy a bronze perfect loadout and 1 skin for “x$” compared to more x$ for every elite case. The RNG lottery will be useless and the House won’t always win.

I will never buy the Elite boxes. They are too random (any merc any card) for me to even consider wasting real money on them.
I will however spend a lot of money on various looks for my characters.

You wont. But many people did. I believe they would be pissed if you could get a “cobalt skin” on a perfect bronze for 17.500 CR and some dollars.
I’d say on silvers and above, you could pay some credits to alternate between gold/camo/jungle and cobalt/fractured, that would be nice
having stuff like that on bronze cards would be kinda absurd

This is actually a kinda different thing, and much better imo. If you already have a card, switching the skin for gold.

yeah it’s not a bad idea but it locks out new players that discover the game and want to drop money unless they like to gamble.
I am against gambling myself, just never had the luck for it so I just avoid it like the plague.
