i want to remind some people about prizes in game

after reading more and more posts like “moar free stuff”, “lower prizes” i kindly want to remind you guys that thus game isnt a charity, its game that is supposed to make money, i know that getting your cobalt from dreams in first try would be lovely, but they people wouldn’t have reasons to spend money. The free to play model looks very good imo, you can get whatever loadout you want or merc that you want for some playing the game a little and you dont need shiny cards to enjoy the gameplay, and that is what games are about, right?

soo please keep that in mind and have a nice day

P.S. i am expecting shit storm here, i know the crafting system isnt perfect, (the paying for stuff system is awful imo)

Free to play model is good, business model isn’t. I’ve spent some money in the game but could have easily burned more if prices were more reasonable/there were more interesting choices.

I agree with you. Besides that I am curious where all those low-post-count people come from with all the posts and topics a la “DB is doomed” “make everything cheaper” “I stopped playing because they don’t give me stuff” “SD does not care”.

You really expect me or anyone to be foolish enough to buy Roulette boxes? Give me actual things I’d want to buy and I’d buy them. I bought the christmas trinkets, I bought the skullsplitter trinket, and I even bought one or two mercs. But I would never ever buy a 95% chance of dissapointment. I would have bought those weapon kits undoubtably but “XD lets put them in arsenal crates, good luck getting 50!.” Please.

@AnimeDude So from how many places overall have you missed the part they are putting them obtainable from elsewhere too other than Arse crates? Reading is a fancy skill to have people.

Other than that what Slug was talking about was exactly the f2p model here; cosmetic sillyness aside you can get everything game-affecting with relatively easy time-grind. He didn’t seem to mean cases being within the sensible side of the model. Then Dawn kindly pointed out the business model behind the purchases, mostly cosmetics, is indeed offputting. Basically you’re all talking of the same thing with agreeing opinion, I dont understand your tone due that.

Also what I would like to point overall (not towards you anymore) is what people are failing to see is the change here clearly trying to move the focus of loadout-only based ‘economy’ and system to something more easily manageable from developer side, and lay proper foundations to the trading some vocal people, now bashing the system, have also asked for repeatedly. What were people gonna trade with in last system? Leads as base currency? Pfft. Now theres some room for proper currency systems instead of card collectible playground games. Numbers need large tweaking sure, but now the base has been changed.

I don’t mind to pay 20$ for this game if it will cost money, I don’t want to buy elite cases with 20$.

the fact this product is ftp doesnt mean we can just stand here ignoring the stupid moves they are doing to the game.
Afaik we are not mindless robots that cant react to what is happening in the game just because its free and blabla, the last update was just plain stupid, i spent more than 100 euros in this game, not going to leave anything more after this spit in my eye

Same here. Im so annoyed about the last changes about the loadout system but i will sure continue to play this game because it’s still fun, especially when you play with friends.

Furthermore, this game is still in beta, so i guess things will be really different from how they are today. But if players feel that they can pay some bucks without being screwed by their bad luck, im sure people will constantly buy some things at each event/release.

Until now, the only thing we have reason to buy was elite cases. I don’t take credit booster into count because i don’t feel it is really useful actually.
With the new crafting system, there is now crafting kits and weapon kits. But considering the rage people have towards this new system, i don’t think a lot of people will buy them.

Seperate skins from loadout, so you can sell skins more easliy for each merc at the cash shops for 4.99€ (random price).
What about fireworks effects for SKyhammer’s airstrike during christmas event ? Crackers Nader’s nade ? Snowflake effect for Arty ? Christmas’ songs when you’re around Aura’s healing station ? Easter eggs grenades for Fragger and Thunder ? There is a looooooot things you could do to make Dirty Bomb more and more funnier and im sure players will buy them, as long as they don’t feel betrayed by RNG/Devs.

Personally indifferent towards the crafting system, but the idea of holiday based skill effects? CHA-CHING! I’d spend so much money on stuff like that. The trick would be to make them still easily identifiable as their base skill effect, which can be quite easy.

I find it kind of sad that quite a lot of players care more about trinkets and shiny cards than they do just playing the game. if you don’t want to pay out money for a chance to get a event or high rarity card than that’s fine just use leads or irons or buy the bronze loadout for 17k credits and play the game for the sake of playing the game.

I have cobalts and golds but that’s because i like dropping some money on the game and having a bit of a gamble every once and a whille but even if i didn’t have any nice cards i would still just enjoy the game for what it is.
