@Xenithos and @STARRYSOCK , for cash. 2 bucks for 10k credits. I’d pay for that occasionally when I’m bored. I don’t see any harm in letting us purchase credits if they’re comparable to the same rates as mercs in the shop. As for events, you get a 10% chance for one of these Ghostclip or any event skins for 5 bucks in elite cases. That’s 50 bucks per skin if we’re to go off of averages and exclude the 20$ and 35$ bundles with the guaranteed bonus case(s).
Whereas 50 bucks of credits at the rate of 2$ for 10k (the same rate of a 50k merc as I mentioned above in another post) would give you 250k credits or 250 regular cases. At 2% drop rate, you’re looking at 2 or 3 event skins on average - and in my experience the rates for these aren’t 2%. They feel more like 5% to me, but that’s all anecdotal. Sure, you’re gonna end up with a lot of lead and iron garbage, but I still think it would be fun. Hard to estimate how many fragments you’d end up with one route or the other, but I’d assume you’d net more from recycling your pulls from 250 cases instead of 10 higher tiered ones. All it’d take was a handful of silvers or golds from those and you’re looking at a nice chunk of fragments.
Beyond that, I just think it’d be convenient and nice to have this as an option. Maybe not the most practical option, but it’s a time saver. When you’re out of credits, you’re out of credits and there’s no quick way around that. Really, though, who wouldn’t have fun opening 250 cases instead of 10? I’m sure there’s plenty of psychology crap behind this too. Just look at penny machines and scratch-off cards.
