I THINK I KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH RNG!!1!!1!1

(BananaSlug) #1

my idea is to add something like card level/tier
if we could say there are 3 good cards, 3 ok cards and 3 bad cards for every merc we could do something like this:
lets say we are trading up cards and we would put 3 ok silvers and one good silver and we will get 1 good gold! isnt that simple
and the level of the card will be one more level that the card with lowest level that was used to trade in/up

soo for example if you would put 1 bad card (1lvl) and 3 good cards (3lvl) you will get ok card (2lvl)

tell me your thoughts about this !

So one lvl 1 card + 3 good cards(top tier)= mid tier card ? What ?
BTW, for example, if we divide the 9 cards in 3 groups like you said, will still be 1 good card over the rest, and it depends on the playstyle, maybe 1 card for you is bad, and for someone else is pretty good.

For them to do this they’d have to admit that some cards are more or less desirable than others -something I don’t think they want to do. From the devs’ perspective, I believe it’s more a case of providing options for playstyles, it’s just that the way that always ends up is that players decide what’s optimal and that becomes the meta.

I’d rather trash cards not even exist. Some control over what you can trade up to would be nice, but it strips back all of their RNG which cuts into their bottom line, so I guess we just have to wait until trading. Perhaps some overhaul of the system will happen one day.

How would you rate a card? I might think S95 is the best card for Stoker, while someone might think the M61 is the best.

Maybe instead of just random cards, what about been able to choose the primary ? So you aren’t stuck with a weapons that you don’t like

Not that this idea is bad by default, but how exactly does one determine “quality” of each particular card ?
Besides that would be first step for game becoming p2w. So, no thx.
