hi all, i hope one of u has got a grip on this, cause i really don’t understand the extents in gtkgensurf. when i try to make a ground surface, i want to make a patch with x,y dimensions, but it always gives me y and z for the extents, and i try and put what the y and z would be and nothing shows up I’m really lost. do the extents not have anything to do with the size in units that they are on the map.

The easiest way to use gensurf is to draw out a flat block where you want your wall/floor. The block should always be the base of the surface you want to make. Then with that block selected, activate gensurf and the extents should be filled in already for you. Play around a little to get a feel for how the block affects the shape/sizes of the final surface.
